FAQS
When ordering your basket, be sure to select the “Bid Day 2024” option from the drop down menu for each item you would like to add to your pre-order!
The morning of bid day, pre order customers will receive a text with directions on how to communicate your student's sorority to the L&L team so that basket building can begin! Students generally recieve their bids around 12:00-2:00 pm on bid day.
When Pre-Ordering Bid Day Baskets, it guarantees an early spot in the fulfillment process. We fulfill on a first come, first serve basis. This also means that we will be less likely to run out of inventory! Orders 1-50 generally get sent out in the first wave of deliveries to the sorority houses!
Bid Day is wild and the girls stay busy! Please make sure we have your best contact information as well as the best contact information for your student just in case we need to reach out. As soon as her gift is delivered, your student will receive a text letting her know it's there and waiting for her with her name on it.
Deliveries will be made throughout Bid Day 2024 and the days immediately following. Due to volume, we cannot guarantee a bid day delivery for every basket, but we do our best. Baskets are created and dropped off based on the date they are ordered, so preorders always come first! Your student will receive a text letting her know that a surprise has been dropped off and where she can find it.
If your daughter joins Alpha Gamma Delta or Pi Beta Phi, they will be told in their texts where they will get their baskets.
Finally, in the event of severe inclement weather or flooding in downtown Columbia, deliveries will be suspended until the weather or flooding clears.
If she receives an item she would like to exchange, she is more than welcome to do so during our exchange period (August 26- September 2). We can also issue a store credit to be used at a later date! Email leigh@leighandletters.com to start the exchange process! Refund requests will be processed in 3-5 business days.
Just email us and let us know. We would be happy to put together a non-greek gift to send to her apartment/dorm, or we can process a refund or store credit. Refund requests will be processed in 3-5 business days.
Contact us as soon as possible! We can only cancel the order if we are notified. You can get a full refund, change your order to a non- greek gift, or we can offer a store credit! Refund requests will be processed in 3-5 business days.
No problem! We are happy to ship a basket or gift to any school! Please make sure you specify the address where you would like it shipped! Although it will not be hand delivered to the sorority house, it is always fun to get a fun gift in the mail!
We do not have access to the bid lists ahead of time, so the L&L team will need you to tell us which house she accepts a bid from. The morning of bid day, you will receive a text with instructions from the L&L crew! Please let us know as soon as you know which house your student is headed to, and please double check your contact information to ensure we can wrap and deliver her gift quickly.
Your personalized message will be on a card inside of the bid day package. There will be a large name plate tied to the outside of the package so your student can easily find her name!!
Due to the nature of this process, we can not absolutely guarantee your student will receive everything you have picked for her. Orders will be filled on a first come first serve basis, so the earlier you order the more likely you are to receive all of your picks! If we do run out of an item (this will not happen often), your student will receive a voucher for the item, or the item will be substituted with something of similar style/equal value. Your student will be able to exchange items during our exchange period: August 26- September 2. We just want to make sure she has something fun to open after recieving her Bid!!
Preorder will be open until Saturday, August 24th at noon! After that, orders will be considered as coming in on Bid Day.
On bid day, the Leigh and Letters team is busy, busy, busy! All of our energy goes towards making these baskets and getting them to the right places.
The morning of bid day, you can respond to the text we will send with your student's new sorority and we will take it from there. Please look out for that text and follow the instructions there!
Any emails received the day of bid day or in the days following will be responded to as we have time, but these emails will take 3-7 business days for a response in some cases.
The Leigh and Letters team reserves the right to ignore abusive or unwarrantedly rude emails; please remember to be civil in your communications with our team with any comments or concerns.
Your student will receive a text from the L&L team letting her know her gift has been delivered. Please check with your student first to see if she's picked up her basket, before you reach out to us. Sometimes it takes a couple of days for the girls to go by and get their baskets!
Due to the high volume of gifts being delivered to the sorority houses, it may take her a moment to locate her package! All packages are dropped off to the respective sorority houses in multiple waves of deliveries throughout the day and several days after. Each package will have a large, custom gift tag with the girl's name. Please ask her to double check before contacting us!
